I struggled yesterday with a stupid problem. I have this german client and we've built a website for it. Of course, on the website you have some forms to contact the company by email. The email receiver of these emails is a strange email address that contains special character like "ö". Of course that an email address like röny@domain.com (this address is just an example) does not respect the standards (http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc822.html), but since that's the client's address ...

In .NET sending an email with such an email address results in an error being thrown. The error says, of course, that the email address is not well formatted. At first I thought that I'm missing a text encoding, afterwards I thought I needed an HTML encoding. None of them worked whatsoever. After some tests I discoverred that I had to use an URL encoding, so this kind of email addresses must be URL encoded in order to programatically send emais. After encoding my email address would look like this: r%F6ny@domain.com.

• invat silverlight;am hostat pe un domeniu pe care nu il foloseam momentan un prim sample funny. Iincerc sa fac ceva si mai frumos din el... idei am, sper sa ma ajute si timpul, poate si cheful.
• a avut loc GPEC 2008, cu bune si cu rele... ma abtin de la comentarii.
  
• pe plan personal, toamna e vremea aniversarilor in familia mea, iar torturile sunt la ordinea zilei .
• si, nu in ultimul rand, sa nu uit, printre picaturi am instalat si personalizat si acest blog.
  

Silverlight apps are cross-browser RIA (Rich Internet Apps). Really? No, of course not. Ooh, maybe, just until FF 3.0 come along ... :) You have to do some manual tricks with some SDK `silverlight.js` file in order to workaround Microsoft's default installer (details here).

Yep, just another typical cross-browser fault from a cross-browser platform!

E posibil sa vi se ceara sa dezinstalati anumite aplicatii, in speta cele beta, inainte de instalare; Microsoft a pus la dispozitie un si un removal tool, Visual Studio 2008 Service Pack Preparation Tool.

Alt proiect, freelance - lucrez la un proiect micut, pixel tracking pentru affiliate marketing. Interesanta ideea, nu este prima oara cand lucrez cu asa ceva, nu e nimic complicat in toata povestea, dar e util pentru cei care vor sa mai stie cate ceva despre clasicul subiect "cum se fac bani pe net".
